The case for Wheatgrass
Wheatgrass is young Triticum aestivum grass harvested before the grain forms. It is exceptionally high in chlorophyll, enzymes and minerals, and is prized for its alkalizing, detoxifying effect - which is why it is traditionally taken on an empty stomach.
The case for Moringa
Moringa is a leaf, not a grass, and brings a broader nutrient profile: complete protein, calcium, iron and Vitamin A, C and E. It is more of a daily multivitamin from nature than a pure detox green.
Side-by-side
- Detox & alkalizing: Wheatgrass wins
- Protein, calcium & iron: Moringa wins
- Taste: Wheatgrass is grassy-sweet; Moringa is earthy like spinach
- Best time: Wheatgrass in the morning on an empty stomach; Moringa any time with food
- Verdict: Use both - Wheatgrass for cleansing, Moringa for nourishing
Our recommendation
Alternate them, or combine 1/2 teaspoon of each in a morning green shot. Both Vanamved powders are shade-dried, additive-free and FSSAI licensed.
